ClosedInstall Master Calendar

  1. Run the DEA.MasterCalendar.Server.Install.exe to install the Master Calendar Database on the database server.  
  2. Run the DEAMasterCalendarSetup.msi program on the web server to install the Master Calendar website.
  3. (Optional) Verify the Master Calendar API.  
  4. (If Upgrading) Uninstall any optional services on the web server used by the previous version of Master Calendar. 
  5. Install or re-install any optional services on the web server. 
    Be sure to run a backup before you upgrade the database. We recommend that you upgrade your Master Calendar Database in a test environment before upgrading a production database.

ClosedRun the DEA.MasterCalendar.Server.Install.exe

  1. Run DEA.MasterCalendar.Server.Install.exe from any PC that has access to the database server. 
  2. In Server, enter the name of the server running MS SQL Server. 
  3. In Database, enter the name for the Master Calendar Database.
    We recommend that you accept the default value of Master_Calendar.
  4. In the Server Authentication area, specify MS SQL Server authentication credentials. If SQL Server Authentication Mode is selected, you must specify a User Name and Password.
  5. Click Execute
  6. Click Yes to initiate the installation.

ClosedCreate a Master Calendar SQL Database User and Connect to Applications

  1. From the Accruent portal, download EMS Environment Utility.

  2. On the database or application server, run the EMS Environment Utility Installer.

  3. Run the MasterCalendarEnvironmentConfigTool application.

  4. Enter the Master Calendar Database Username and Password.
    The credentials are stored in the System Environment Variables to be used by the applications.

  5. If Create User in Database is selected, enter the SQL server name in Server and EMS database name in Database.
    This only needs to be done once per database.

  6. Select SQL Server Authentication Mode to use a SQL SysAdmin account.

  7. Repeat Steps 1-4 for each Master Calendar web server.
