Home Screen Widgets

The Home screen is organized with widgets that you can show, hide, or rearrange. Widgets give you convenient access to information and functions.

You might not have access to all widgets, depending on your Direct Spaces configuration.

Widgets include:

  • Quick actions – create bookings and manage favorites

  • Your upcoming reservations – view your schedule for this week or select from the calendar.

  • Floor plans – easy access to your favorite floor plans, from which you can create a booking. This is an environment configuration that might be turned off for all users.

  • Approvals – view and select pending events for approval.

  • Active conversations – shows your recent activity that you can view or take further action on .

In widget settings, only checked items display on the home screen.

Show or hide widgets on your home screen:

  1. Tap the Widgets menu in the upper left.

  2. Tap an item to select it if it’s not already selected.

    The widget displays on the home screen.

  1. Tap a checked item to clear the selection.

    The widget does not display on the home screen.

Rearrange widgets on the home screen:

  1. In widget settings, touch and hold an item in the list.

  2. Drag up or down to rearrange the order in which it will appear on the home screen.

ClosedManage Profile

Your Direct Spaces profile includes basic settings to help you manage your account. Your profile includes the following settings:

  • Profile picture, name, and email address – Upload a new profile picture, change your name and email address.

  • Assistants – Remove, log out, or add assistants. An assistant is like a profile setup that offers access to specific features or configurations. For example, your organization might have a test assistant to test new features and another assistant that your organization uses daily. You can switch between these by changing assistants. In this case, you would have 2 assistants available in your mobile app.

  • Notifications – Manage whether you want to receive email notifications or not from the app. Turn on, off, or delete the ability to receive notifications.

  • View trash – If you previously put activities in the trash, you can view those items and individually restore them.

  • Reset – Archive conversations, log out of all assistants, reset localization settings, and unregister a device. You can reset one or more of these items at the same time.

  • Receive conversation

  • About – Shows your app ID and client version number.

Upload Profile Picture

If you didn't upload a profile picture during your first use of Direct Spaces, or you want to change it, you can upload it at any time.

Upload a profile picture:

  1. Tap the profile picture at the upper right.

  2. Tap the edit icon next to the picture.

  3. In the Open window, navigate to the picture you want to use, select it, and tap Open.

    The picture gets uploaded. The picture does not appear immediately. It takes time for the system to update. You might need to refresh your screen.

Change your display name or email address:

  1. Tap the edit icon next to your email address or name.

  2. In the dialog that opens, type the new information.

  3. Tap Done.

Reset

You can reset many options at the same time.

  1. Tap the profile picture at the upper right and then tap Reset.

  2. On the Reset Options screen, in Archive Conversations, turn on each item that you want to archive.

    You can also specify a date range for the items you want to reset in Specify Date.

  3. Select other options:

    • Logout of all assistants

    • Reset localization settings on this device

    • Unregister device

  4. Tap Submit.

    All selected options get reset.
